Flagship Activities

We Strengthen Capacities

  • Capacity-strengthening activities are critical for empowering education stakeholders to navigate the evolving landscape of learning innovations and emerging technologies. Guided by the team's mission, the GIET Equity team has constructed a comprehensive suite of initiatives—including the Learning Innovations and Emerging Technologies Forum Series and Masterclass Series—designed to foster professional growth and collaboration.
  • These activities are strategically developed to cultivate a dynamic network of education stakeholders across fields and disciplines, while promoting equity, quality, and efficiency in education at all levels. By aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the team organises various activities to strengthen the research-professional learning nexus for learning innovations and emerging technologies.
Learning Innovations and Emerging Technologies

Forum Series

We are committed to strengthening the capacity of the education workforce for learning innovations and emerging technologies to enhance education equity, quality, and efficiency locally, nationally, regionally, and internationally. As part of these crucial efforts, the GIET Equity Team, on behalf of EdUHK, has launched the Learning Innovations and Emerging Technologies Forum Series with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) and UNESCO Chairs Programme to share promising practices of academic collaborations with different partners. Through the forum series, we aim to facilitate dialogues and conversations on enhancing inclusive and equitable quality education while providing opportunities for education stakeholders to build a collaborative network for meaningful education development.

Learning Innovations and Emerging Technologies

Masterclass Series

Echoing the rapid education development empowered by technologies, we have been actively engaging with global higher education institutions, international organisations, and industry partners to foster knowledge exchange of inclusive and equitable quality education. The Learning Innovation and Emerging Technologies Masterclass Series demonstrates such sharing of global expertise, promising practices, and lessons learned by spotlighting innovative education cases highly relevant to contextualised education realities. With insights from international collaborators and inputs from partner institutions, the Masterclass series will be able to enhance scholarship within the EdUHK research and practice community, while creating a synergy with the Forum Series to contribute to research on inclusive and equitable quality education.
